Tallest LCD screen in the world on Manchester skyscraper

Axis, Albion Street, Manchester is currently under construction by Russells Construction. At 18 floors tall and with over 7,000 square metres of space within, it will be one of the largest speculative office developments ever to go up in the City of Manchester. Axis will also have the tallest LCD screen in the world at 51m tall!

Due to the nature of skyscraper projects, health and safety monitoring and protection is of the upmost importance and TI’s remit was to provide a reliable and robust access control system to prevent unauthorised access to the site.

Within the security cabin we have installed a full height dual directional turnstile with security mesh wall and access control provided by hand print recognition readers for entry and exit. The integrated system provides full time and attendance monitoring and recording and an emergency evacuation facility.
