Apprentice Engineer

Training
Fire Emergency & Security Systems Apprenticeship including day release to college.
Additional training will be provided internally and via third party training providers.
Hours of Work and Pay
40 hour week, Monday – Friday, 8.00 am- 4.30 pm. Overtime is available most weeks.
Once qualified an engineer will also be included in the Call Out Rota.
Pay from £16,640.00 per year.
Holiday Entitlement
28 days including statutory holidays.
Main Duties
Assisting our Fire, Security & Gate engineers in their day to day activities.
As the Apprentices competence and capability grows they will be take responsibility for key elements within current projects.
Duties included within this role:
Installing and servicing CCTV, Intruder Alarms, Access Control, Automatic Gates & Barriers, Fire Alarms, Shutters and Fire Extinguishers.
Person Specification
Applicants must have minimum GCSE’s (or equivalent) at Grade 4 (C) in Maths, English and Science.
A genuine interest in Engineering and Technical subjects.
A natural forward planner who is business like and self driven with a clear focus on high quality work standards and business profitability.
Mature, credible, and comfortable working in a medium sized business.
Willingness to learn, strong work ethic and a positive can do attitude.
Good analytical skills, methodical, flexible and thorough.
Smartly dressed with a professional attitude.
Must live within 5 miles of LS25 postcode.
Must be eligible for work in the UK.
Must have a full clean driving licence.

Ability to work under pressure and to agreed time scales.
